Notice is given that the Marco Island City Council will hold a regular meeting at 4 p.m., Mon., Dec. 5th in the Community Meeting Room, 51 Bald Eagle Dr., Marco Island, Florida. To accommodate a full agenda, the meeting will begin at 4 p.m. rather than the usual later start time.
The meeting agenda includes, but is not limited to, the following items:
Swearing-in Ceremony
Election of Council Chair and Vice-Chair
Second Reading and Public Hearing on the Ordinance to Implement a Single-Family Home Transient Rental Registration Program
All interested persons are invited to attend and register to speak. Six days before the meeting, the agenda and backup material will be available on the City’s website, www.cityofmarcoisland.com. At the City Hall Reception Desk, 50 Bald Eagle Dr. The meeting will be broadcast live on the City’s television channel and via the website unless hampered by technical or weather-related issues. Any person who may seek to appeal any decision made by the City Council concerning any matter considered at the meeting is responsible for making a verbatim record of the proceeding.

Notice is now given that two or more members of the Marco Island City Council will attend and participate in a four-hour ethics training class for elected municipal officers, beginning at 12:30 p.m., Tue., Dec. 6, in the Community Meeting Room, 51 Bald Eagle Dr., Marco Island, Florida 34145. Under Florida Statutes 112.3142, all elected municipal officers must complete four hours of ethics training each calendar year which addresses ethics, open records, and public meeting laws of the State of Florida.
