Public Meetings in Marco Island, Florida - January 2023

The City of Marco Island, Florida is hosting three public meetings in January, 2023 for the local community to learn more about the beautification and planning projects the City is currently undertaking.

The Beautification Advisory Committee meeting will take place on Wednesday, January 4th, at 3 p.m., followed by the Planning Board meeting on Friday, January 6th at 9 a.m., and the City Council meeting on Monday, January 9th at 5:30 p.m. All meetings will be held in the Community Meeting Room located at 51 Bald Eagle Dr., Marco Island, Florida.

Prior to the meetings, agendas will be made available to the public on the City’s website, www.cityofmarcoisland.com, and at the City Hall Reception Desk, 50 Bald Eagle Dr. All interested persons are invited to attend and register to speak. The meetings will also be broadcast live on the City’s cable television channel and via the website, unless hindered by technical or weather-related issues.

At the Beautification Advisory Committee meeting, the agenda items include discussion of the proposed improvements to be made to the city’s parks and public spaces. At the Planning Board meeting, the agenda includes discussion of zoning regulations and development plans. At the City Council meeting, the agenda includes discussion of funds for projects, ordinances and resolutions, and other topics related to the city’s operations.

In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, any person requiring special accommodation because of a disability or impairment should contact the City Clerk’s office as soon as possible, but no later than 48 hours before the meeting. Reasonable accommodations will be provided at no cost to the individual.

These public meetings are an opportunity for members of the local community to become informed about the beautification and planning projects the City is currently undertaking and to have their voices heard.
